![]() | Only two months into the new year and here comes another round of change the setup.First a little background. I recently started using a 61" rear projection TV for our main gaming screen. With the new addition I immediately noticed that my sitting distance was far too close. My timing and reactions were slowed. The farther I moved back the better my timing and reactions became. A short time later I had a conversation with someone about their friend. This friend played first person shooters competitively. This guy said his friend will only play on a 22" monitor. And added "maybe there's something to that." I thought about the impact the big screen initially had on my game play. Then there's the fact that it's older technology. The resolution and refresh rates are lower. Then I thought, now what if you add screen size, input lag and low refresh rates? This can't be good. LCD Monitors are exceptionally cheap these days, but shopping for a new gaming monitor quickly became a nightmare. I won't go into too much detail but long story short, after a bit of research I learned of these critical specs. Response time, Input Lag, and Refresh Rate.(and $$$) My journey led me to the BenQ RT2450HT Watch this video for more info.
